Monster Island (2019) (Review)

The 2019 mockbuster Monster Island from The Asylum, released ironically at the same moment as Godzilla King of the Monsters is about an Island called Monster Island. Here a monster may have been discovered and is kind of the Island, the Monster Island.


This movie is about a asylum. As such, it has a budget roughly equivalent (Monster Island (2019) Asylum movie) to a large family meal. It makes careful use of it, focusing on only a few people and keeping the big stars on one single set so that all sequences can still be shot during lunch. The Asylum may not do such a terrible job considering this is the kaiju-style film.
